Just Ranting

Sitting at work, with time barely creeping by.
had 3 hours of sleep because of all the packing and **** since movers were suposed to be here between 8am and 11am. never showed, called at 12:30, they said, "Oh, the truck broke down, we can send another truck, but it wouldn't get there untill tomorrow." Fine, so a day delay. then they tell me that because the damn truck has to come from Miami, i have to pay an extra $450, ontop of the $320 they already quoted, WTF, its not my fault the **** broke down, they said they will send them, I said only if its at the $320 that was on the contract we had to sign and fax back to them. well, he said I better have the other $450. so, I think that they are gonna come, try to move the ****, get over to my new home, and say "we're not unloading untill you give us the rest of that money."
Anyone else see this as a Breech of a legal binding contract?
Should I let them come move me and only give them the $320, and if they ask for the rest, ask them to show me where the paper is that I signed agreeing on the extra charges?
Sorry for the long as post, but they got me pissed off as hell, expecially when I was on the phone with them and asked if I needed to take this matter to small claims court, he started laughing and said "go ahead, I'll buy you a damn house."
to top it all off, on my way to work (3 hours late) I get pulled over, but luckily just a warning.
OK, finnished Ranting about this ****, sorry for the long *** post.

I would contact the better business bureau on the company and see if there are any other complaints for that company. Paying extra for their mistake is not your fault, it would be the same as having your car towed, then them telling you the first tow truck broke down and you have to pay for another one to respond... Seems like a bait and switch to me.

I'm looking for another company, have a few that seem fairly reputable (co-worker used them a few times, had no problems)
But I had to give my CC# to reserve them, so If they charge me a $100 Cancelation fee, all hell is gonna break loose.

That is a typical scam. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ANY OF YUR STUFF. Once its on the truck it will be held hostage until you pay the ransom. I would call the local police office as well and ask if there is a detective that handles this sort of thing.
There was a whole segment on 60 minutes a few years back about these clowns. I would call them and tell them forget it.
Rent a u-haul buy a case of beer and a few pizzas and bribe your friends into helping you out.
