Jobs
[quote name='RowTarEh' date='Apr 6 2005, 01:59 PM']Ok, seems fair enough. I could not work a job without some income coming in. I need money, always do to live, and I have bills, and debts to pay off right now.
Thanks for all the info.

1988 Red T2 is right, there is no income. Don't make a sale, and nothing happens. My situation is unique, I am doing things like faxes, cover letters, picking up blueprints, putting up signs, calling clients, etc. for my boss, who has too many listings to do this all on his own, for a salary.
You're considered an "independant contractor", most start out having another job as well, while also attempting to give RE their full attention. It's when you get the ball rolling on selling home after home that you reconsider doing JUST RE as a profession, and have less "***-kissing" required to make a deal happen.
I've done what I've done based on my honesty and easy personality, which I suppose some of you would be surprised about because somehow on here I've written posts that seemed very demeaning or "Elitist" :P In all honesty the last thing i ever want to do with anyone is argue, I usually give in, and really have no enemies in life
Thanks for all the info.

Well RE isnt for me then, I'd need something that wouldnt consume all my time. If im paying for college im damn well going to study. I could pull some strings work in someones shop but working all day like that and then school on top of it doesnt seem like i'd do to well. I am just ******* lost right now.

Talk to your friends and more importantly, your friends' dads (and moms). They might know of a job somewhere in the company they work for (or own).
I got through college with the help of a friend's dad who got me a super-paying factory job that allowed me to make my expenses during the summer.

Not going to help any, Friends dad is a truck driver for publix (grocery store), and his mom the manager of the deli in walmart. Either place wouldnt be good to work at. another friends dad does construction but i dont know what he pays and the people/surroundings arent all that good. He carrys a pistol on him loaded all the time.

Well, just keep asking people. Interview with a temp agency. Maybe they can find you something.

Well, military should be out of the question because its ******* gay, and you dont make any money. Unless you are an officer, you aren't gonna make **** for money. I'll make about 35k this deployment, and thats a year of working 20hr days and getting shot at. And I'm only making 35k because you aren't taxed when deployed, and you get certain benefeits, such as the "shoot-me bonus"
On a sidenote, curious what tattoos you have the barred you from the military?

That isn't a bad idea, the temp agency for construction (for instance) usually helps place personnel better than the respective trades' unions do.
