It's going into a GLC if I can get it to run better. I got the engine about a year ago and have been working on it now and then. I've also been preparing the car. It runs with a 13B which also has running problems. I'm having trouble decided which engine should go in it.

If only I could make the 20B run better.

Oh, ok. I'll mod the intake some more and advance the timing a little.
if anything retard the timing, it kicks back more the more you advance it

I think the timing is already at 0. Now I'm confused.

Stock FC and 20B leading marks are at 5ºATDC right? Ok, I set the static timing to 0 as close as I could. I simply counted 5 degrees of advance from the stock mark to arrive at 0º, then I transfered it onto the FC pulley while taking a black Sharpie to the stock FC marks.

So you're saying I should advance it 5º? I'll throw in my REPU's starter to hopefully take care of any slow cranking from now on (it cranked my old 3B 13B really fast). Come to think of it, the dizzy is rotated quite a bit counter clockwise.

maybe its just the starter then, its supposed to be 5btdc cranking, but yours sounds higher cause its kicking back

I'll swap starters and try to come up with a better intake system. Thanks for the info!

And I like that you like... uh... that.

I took a bunch of measurements and wrote them down 'drafting style' (that class in highschool is finally paying off). Then I did some quick measurements of the car and it looks like I won't have to cut the strut tower at all. Oh, it should idle with one of these manifolds too! :dbanana
