Okay, this is mostly for NJ users, since our state has the most RIDICULOUS INSURANCE RATES, **** NJ...*cough*...anyways...

Any FD owners in NJ...how much do you pay a year for insurance, and with what company? I'm looking into getting an FD in the near future, and I'm just curious as to what my options may be...

NJ Manufacturers Ins. Co. A whopping $900 a year for full coverage!!! Good luck getting it that cheap though. I would say for NJ you should expect to pay between $2200-4500 a year depending on your age, tickets, etc.

I'm 22 with 0 points, no outstanding violations, and just looking for liability coverage...does that increase my chances of getting a cheaper rate?

the "22" is going to kill you. can you put it in your parent's name?

oh and do what you want, but I would HIGHLY reccomend theft/collision coverage!!!!! It's an FD, not a civic!~!

That is really stupid. They wanted your money but the car was not even driveable. ********.

I am glad I don't live in New Jersey. Highest insurance rates for cars. But I do live in Maryland, so that helps a whole lot! [end sarcasm]

And try not to get a red car. Insurance companies always make you pay more if it is a red car. Well, most people will get charged more.

Insurance = Greed...I haven't exactly had a situation YET where it came in handy...even when somebody rear-ended me on Rt 80, my old insurance company didn't do jack-**** for me...yet I was paying them 1800$/year roughly, for them to just sit there and collect, and when it came time to help me out, they just blew me off...man, **** NJ Insurance, I wish it wasn't such a drama...I'm pretty much excited to get an FD, but a bit freaked when I find out the quote...
