I ordered an EMS from the land down under (microtech lt8) Anyone know like an estimate of what the duties / taxes will be on it if any? I talked to Loi and he said if it's shipped as a Gift/Personal Use it won't have any duties assessed to it.

TIA.

Yeah, if it's tagged as a gift you'll see no extra charges.

If not, expect a phone call first. You'll probably need to assign a broker.

In which case you'll be paying brokerage and duty! YAY!

Cross your fingers and hope that package says "Gift"

I will give some info.

If its sent from Aus, JPN, NZ, and other friendly nations. A normal 5% will be added, BUT I have sent packages threw EMS up to but not limited to $1200 and they were never taxed(PFCs) So I wouldnt worry much.

It depends on if you have the young guy behind the counter having a good day, or the pregnant woman thats in a really shitting mood..hehe
