i live in jersey, wher ei go to school there's like a virtual black market of type R engines and **** floating thru constantly. most are stolen from the NYC area and brought into jersey then sold. i can get a Type R engine and trans for $3200 with wiring harness and all.

Its still a honda and not worth putting money into...just my thought on honda cars..did anyone see the first ultimate street car challenge? they had a type R with a jackson s/c the ******* thing still only ran mid 14's...

dave ran a 14.5 on a completely stock type R.



i agree with the honda thing, i wouldn't buy one of these as they're overpriced for being just a honda, but im saying he did buy it, he does work on it, and surprisingly it's one of the rare hondas that i give minor props to.

guy i knew at college had a 97 GSR with Jackson supercharger...I believe at 7 maybe 8 psi...can't remember if he had slicks or not but his best time was 13.4. No weight removed, full leather interior...



Also knew a guy with a Miata and 7psi Jackson SC...ran a 13.9 on street tires first time to the track...got a 9psi belt shortly afterwards...dunno if he ran it after that...



teknics: I saw a Yellow Type R at a Parsippany Movie theater (by Rt 202) not too long ago...but maybe it was another one...

probably someone elses, this kid doesnt taker it anywhere that he has to leave it by itself.



total type r integras are 3,000, i think the "phoenix yellow" ones are more rare the CYM FD's
