I know your not married but I thought this might help you out.

How strong to you feel about doing this move and taking on this job? If you feel like this is a good oportunity for you then go for it. I thought about this today while I was out running errands. My wife loved living in West Palm Beach Florida. Decent size City lots to do (lots of shopping) great place to live. I was working my *** off and doing o.k. money wise.

A collegue was pressuring me to start my own business. It meant moving to a small town with nothing to do in it. A real shithole. It was in my opinion a great opportunity. I wanted to go for it. My wife was hesitant. We moved and I started my own business. The town sucked! The money was really tight for the first year also. Looking back it was the best moveI ever made 6 years later and we doing very well. I am so happy now that my wife went along with this even though she dredded moving to this town.

Now we are deeply rooted here and will possibly never move back to West Palm. We have moved one town south of where we were and even though its quiet its a good place to live and raise a family. No regrets from either of us.

Do what YOU feel is best for both of you. You know best what to do.
I love him, so I'm off to Canberra with him.

I really dont think you'll regret it. Although admittedly I hav eno clue what Canberra is like it could be like a pop. 100 town.

Make the best of it. 50% of a good running company that is expanding sounds like a great opportunity.

Good luck to both of us. NOW I want to see a "Here is Canberra" thread with pictures and all. Lets see this little hole in the wall.
