whats up everybody umm i have adelphia cable for my comp and i need to get a line to use for my ps2 soo what im asking is...what do i need to split the line and can i use my comp and me online on ps2 at the same time?? thanks

Yep.



Plug line in, it splits the signal, plug line into computer.

Dont get one with a built in firewall, some firewalls wont let u play online games

Actually you prolly need a router and not a hub/switch. You can use the hub if you have multiple ips, which is rare from any ISP. The router will share one ip using NAT/DHCP.

There aren't really any switches that will disable ports, a router will, but I have not had any issues with gaming all you have to do is open the ports.

Not Linksys my friend, hes right you do need a router, not a hub. Deffinately dont go with linksys(according to me) but it still might work. A friend of mine uses a linksys router for xbox live and it seems to work but you wont be able to host any servers. I say check out D-Link, their routers are solid
