Too many great fake checks in the world today...

Gotta love technology and people who want something for nothing!

94Touring - I use the same bank branch for everything. Car loans, Mortgages etc.. I have over the last 5 years gotten to know the branch manager very well. She will do anything I need now as she trusts me 100%. I know this does not help you now but try to strike up a relationship with the people in the bank. If that seems impossible ask around and find a bank where it is possible and use that one.

One thing I have learned in life and it SUCKS! The more money you have the more you can get away with. When I had $100 in the bank no one was cutting me any breaks. Now that I have a substantial amount of money in this bank I can do whatever I want.

A few weeks ago my employees started going to the bank to deposite or cash their paychecks before I got there to transfer the money into the account. My payroll account was majorly in the negative and they just kept cashing checks. Why? Because they knew me and were confident I would be in to tranfer the funds. Not too many banks will do that. I love this bank branch and will drive past 3 other branches to go to it. Plus a couple of the tellers are hotties there.

Sorry dude I know how frustrating that can be. I have been there myself.

Ceritfied checks aren't as good as you think. I make it a matter of business to hold ALL tiles until FUNDS have cleared the banks. John

i dealt with this when i sold my rx7 back in july as well. but i was told that the main reason was that the originator of the check (buyer) can put a STOP PAYMENT on the check/cashier's check/or even a money order.......WTF????that is some sneaky ****......you could get a 15K money order for a car, go half way around the country to buy a car with a different ID/name, and then get your $ back after you pick up the car and make a quick call to the bank to put a stop payment on it......

Yeah, I tell the ATM how much the cheque is for.

The bank trusts me, let me withdraw the money if I want.

On the spot.

Same deal with cash, If I put in $100, I can take it out right then.

Even if the balance was$0, before i deposited it.

That's why it's fucked to me the bank would even consider putting a hold on a cashiers check!
Same here, my Bank rules.
