the 83 and 85 numbers are refering to the build dates, seems like the reat of the world uses those instead of model years like we do. for example there were no 93 model year rx7's built in 1993, they were all built from december 91 to julyish 92. we call it a 93, but nobody else does.



the "new" model years usually start production in august, although if its a new model they can start way eariler. for example a 10/83 rx7 is an 84. a 4/85 rx7 is an 85....



and there is no 85 truck!
