It is the second most adjustable unit made for our cars (motec has a couple more options)

Can still run O2 sensor and can be adjusted by the % that you want it to modify the injector pulse to match the o2 voltage that you want.

The US tech guy for the systems, is a hard-core rotor head. Which has been to nationals racing....what else??? A 1974 REPU with a 91 turbo motor in it, a 3rd gen rear end adapted to fit the straight axle setup. And countless other mods. He placed second, to a supercharged heavily modified cobra.

He is sending me maps and has already sent me wiring diagrams and replacement suggestions for the ignition system. Mainly the ignitors, he sent parts #'s and a wiring diagram for each exact setup. (seems the switching system in the trailing ignitor has been know to fail, and cause detonation problems in the second gens, who woulda knew?)

I have emailed steve@wolfems.com, three times, and every time have gotten a prompt reply with every question I had being answered thoroughly.

There will be a writeup/review of an install of a wolf 3d 4.0 in grassroots motorsports in november I believe. Not for an rx7 tho. (should have lots of information about the system itself)

When in design for the wolf 4.0 system and software, designers bought two motecs, picked them apart and realized that they could do what motec was doing for much cheaper. (essentially it's a poor man's motec, except without the compromises, and with better support for the non-high$$ racer) (motec only tailers to racing teams)

I was directed to a local dealer 45 minutes away from me, who has already tuned a wolf 3d on a 91 turbo, so once I get it installed he is going to the dyno with me.

the price starts @~1300, has a $40 chip if you want a turbo timer, a cheap hand controller ect, you can get the system setup with the hand controller for approx 1400.

It is completely up to date, meaning it's proccesor is using current technology, and it supports any 4 banger v6,v8,v10,v12, 2 rotor, and 3 rotor (maybe 4-rotor, I didn't check)

the 91 turbo that my current dealer tuned was putting down close to 300 rwhp, and got 27 MPG on the highway!!!. Btw that exact map is going to be my base map.

the software, and computer manual is available @ www.wolfems.com

The software is actually extremely similar to the motec after seeing jims5543's motec software. And it is very functional, not just something pretty to look at like other ecu's.

From my research (and I have researched the microtech, haltech, wolf3d, and motec) I find it to be the BEST bang for the buck. And with the through support, I know I can find an answer to any question I can muster within the day. And that assurance is priceless.

I'm picking my system up saterday and installing it the following week. So if anyone has questions, pm me or post them up here.
