I was at the local Walmart today and i noticed a FD in the parking lot. I was looking at it, admiring it obviously, when he came over to see what i was doing.



First a little background to the car. It was painted all silver with black tribal wannabe stuff all over it, nothing impressive. He had put a typical rice type wing on it (not typical for a 7, our local morons cars), and it was covered in NOS stickers with matching seat belt covers and floormats.



So he asks me if i like the car, and i say yes i have always admired the FD body style the most. The following is the conversation.



Me: x

Him: c



c: FD? No its an RX7.

x: umm...no kidding, its an FD type.

c: No dude RX7, by mazda...

x: There are different body types, for example mine is an FC, yours is FD, or third generation.

c: o, didnt know that.



And if that wasnt bad enough:



x: Any motor work done to it?

c: Had dome pistons installed...

x: Uhh.....it doesnt have pistons, RX7 is a rotary powered car.

c: o i junked that crappy motor, they suck.



AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! People like that should be shot, that poor, poor car has a 4cyl in it.....thats not right.

 

Oh no. So you mean to say that he swapped a Honda engine in there?



That is bad. I can see an LS-1 with some work done to it, but not an inline 4.

 

Another one bites the dust..

 

I THINK it was a civic motor. Thoughts of stealing the car and doiing a 20B swap were running through my blood.



Damn laws.

And I'm sorry even an LS1 should not be in a Fd in my world.

 

This person is obviously a proffesional clown and should be sentanced to death by firing squad.

 

 

shoulda asked him to race. and wouldnt the 4 cy engine be really light compared to the rotary?

 

No not really, and the power of the rotary way beats the 4cyl.
