Thumbs up

Well i met a fellow rotary head here in NYC, i saw his FC and something was odd, his antifreeze resovoir wasnt in the same location as every other FC i have ever seen. He has a 86 base RX-7.

He also has the wierdest sunroof ever, it looks like someone made it, doesnt look stock.

Some of the early 2nd gens came with that coolant overflow bottle. Its not a big secret. just not very common. I had that one on my GTU for a long time. And yes, that sunroof looks aftermarket.

I've only seen 1 FC in person with the overflow there. This was only about 2 months ago.

My engine bay. I have the side-located reservoir, but my overflow tube comes from the top of my radiator, not by the cap on the neck.

86 Bases were the only ones w/out sunroofs. All others had them.

89-90 GTUs models did not have a sunroof, and I had an 89 GTU that did not have a sunroof.
