[quote name='89 Rag' date='Aug 2 2005, 01:16 AM']lol The difference between you and me is, you could actually get it off the ground and land it.

If, by some miracle, I could get it off the ground, I would have to ditch or slam it into a large inanimate object and pray it didn't explode on impact.

looking at all those guages I would be like a deer in the headlights.

exactly my position. talk to my pops about flying. he knows 747,707,737,757, and a handful of others by heart. engineering wise he does. he never was a pilot though. he has been around planes his entire career. and he never got a private license. i would like to buy him a little single prop plane some day. and have it rotary powered!!!!!!!!!!

Youd be amazed how easy a plane is to fly. At least a single-engine, prop-driven Cessna or the like.

Helicopters though......Wow....

I watch our helo. drivers fly us around, its looks confusing as hell. Having to work the collective, throttle, and stick to keep her flying right.

My brother has a friend whose dad has 3 planes, he got a spin in one, so I'm gonna start hanging round this guy a bit more.
