Time is documented with the coast guard anyhow Just because you don't have a captains license doesn't mean you don't have any seatime.... you don't have to be licensed to operate a vessel for pleasure.

Hey so I have been a boat owner and operater for 26 years. Dos that quailfy for anything. I even passed my sailing class in a sunfish! I have raced the twilight sail races and owned two drag boats.

I have stayed away from the floating sponson things though.

Counts as sea time if you documented it, then you have to go through the courses, then you have to take the tests, then physical, background, drug test, etc, etc... so yea i guess it counts as something.... experience.



oh you have to take the merchant mariners oath and tell them that you'll uphold the laws and jump in front of torpedos if asked.

With the current plan i'll prolly get my masters within another year or so, i need another 360 days of sea time, of which I already 150 or so.
