I have the 5(IIRC) **** AFC if you are looking ..lol... I actually had it in my stock GX before it become p-ported. I gained a little mid range with it, and dialed backed the cruise fuel to boost mpg.

Age does do it, on top of working lots of hours.. When you pull wrenches and troubleshoot all day on various machines, its hard to park yourself in front of your machine to do more work afterwards.. Its like all my "technical" ambition gets all used up..

Rx-7's are pretty demanding cars, and ROb's right, its like a full time job or comittment. I also have a kid thats a year old now, she's great don't get me wrong, but kids eat up all your free time..They are really needy at this age. But She is a howl to play with as well.

yeah it was hard to work on cars all day, and be interested in cars still, you get jaded, especially if you go to events like the monterey historics, and they have like 20 out of 39 ferrari gto's. that year the coolest thing was the big fedex box the F1 car comes in, THAT is cool.

kids are fun too, but they are mostly a gateway to legos....

at some point i got tired of working on my t2, and just wanted to drive the f-ing thing... 3 engines, 2 suspensions, 4 turbos, 7 exhausts, 2 haltechs, 2 fcons, couple different sets of wheels, all in 3 years....

how much you want for the afc?

I dunno, make me an offer I can't understand...

Man, totally not rx7 inspiring weather here today, it snowed about 36" last night . I needed a bobcat to dig out my bobcat.. I was the only one to get out of our little neighbourhood here thanks to owning a redneck mobile with oversized doughnut tires.

that 3' of snow is crazy, lol

max i hear you, with what I have into my cars I could be driving a nice new car, the new camaro and corvettes are nice, heck anything is nice.

Its nice to have something 20 years old that "looks" brand new, but it will never be the same as something that is actually brand new.

I purposely leased a jeep under my company to get into the chrsyler corporate leasing program, the lease is up at the end of this year and the plan was to get a challenger- but now they aint leasing them and I sure aint buying something that might depreciate 50-60% in a year or two.

I feel the same way about boats- work on them all day and have ZERO desire to work on my own- until someone wants to buy one of them then its all out and sell it.
