My thermostate housing screw broke



It is the hard to reach one in the back!!..





i tried getting screw extracter in there with a drill, But i broke the screw extracter!!!!!!



I seriosly need some ideas !!!!!!!!!!!



PLEASE HELP ME I LOVE MY 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

take the whole housing off and have a machine shop drill it out and tap new threads

That's the best bet there, you might be able to weld a new bolt to it and remove it but I'd have some doubts. Let a machinest do it, they like making themselves look good

Yea screw it buy a new one. Always use cutting oil when using screw extractors... or get the titanium ones like I was lucky enough to inherit from working on aircraft.
