I agree the RX-7/rotary community is a unique one we all love the forward thinking of the rotary engine. we seem to understand it I know I find it simpler than a piston engine now...so much less moving parts. It would be a shame to let piston driven cars into the event. they may have the body of the 7 but its the engine that make it the true stand out. Even before I converted to rotary I thought it was a damn shame when someone would put a v-8 in an rx...I did see one at the track. he ran like such crap..and actually said that the v-8 was lighter than a 13b. If they allow them in whats next? Firechickens and 7stock?

That's so ridiculous. Rotary revolution is about rotaries. Just because you have a frame of an old rotary car doesn't mean your car is a rotary.

Viva ROTARY REVOLUTION!!!

Yea he should be posting here telling us that V8's wont be allowed.

Wtf? That's like allowing Hondas into a Mustang only meet.

Jim you're 100% correct. It's called ROTARY Revolution. Key word being rotary there... Damn it now I'm pissed off too. Good job Jim. lol

Yeah, hondas would NEVER be allowed. It would be a complete and utter outrage. Even I know that hondas and mustangs are very NOT fond of one another.

I have said it twice in this thread and I will say it again.

I said no to piston cars for our Rotary only Autocross driving school. I even took a loss due to lack of attendance but held my ground.

Its not that I hat piston cars. I had a Mini only driving school. I DD a Mini. I like all cars, well, I am not a big fan of V-8 RX-7's but everyone has their right to do what they want with their car. I personally rank V-8 swaps right up ther with sleepy eye headlight mods.

When these guys swapped in V-8's they basically gave up their Rotary privledges.
