From your description of your neighborhood i'm guessing you can't rent your house and get a small apartment somewhere? this would allow you to keep the house and build equity. Try to refinance some high interest rate debt, and maybe consolidate.

if the home purchase was recent and a low down payment was made then refinance or selling it wont work, if the purchase was within the last year you cant even get it appraised until 1 full year, otherwise you can try to take a home equity line of credit to use until you get over this hump.

how much you asking for the car anyhow?

Where do you live Justin? Christ, I never heard of a place that costs 200 a month to get in and out of your 'hood, but on top of the mortgage? That sounds fucked up.

Good luck though, always think postitively.

I thought you had endless credit.

9base3. I would see about getting equity against the house to offset some of the higher interest payments such as credit cards or perhaps even student loans

Sorry for the late response fellas. Thanks for all the help.

The house is a detached villa in a gated community. The 200 mo. covers landscaping, security, the pool, running trail and trash. It's a little high, but kind of worth it.. It's outside Saint Louis in O'Fallon, IL. Really nice little place.

I jumped into it anticipating a marriage to Jessica and a big promotion. Neither happened. well, the promotion will still happen but not till like OCT. I think I can hold off the payments till then, but really need to have some cash handy in case of emergency. The FD is all I really "own".

It's so strange how life can embrace you one minute, then cut you off at the knees the next.. Hurt SUCKS.

I don't know what to ask for the car as it sits. If Steve Kan would just get me my motor, I could sell a running 400HP car.. but he hasn't responded to my emails.. No ******* way am I taking a 3K hit.. I've been robbed enough already!

I have a couple of people interested in the car as-is for LS1 swaps and what not.. But I can't imagine I'll break even. But that's how it goes!

I dunno.. If anyone has any thoughts just let me know. Or even if you may be interested in something. Not sure I'll be too interested in parting it, but I'll do what I have to.
