Where would be a good place to look for those for sale? I've tried autotrader but all the vtec ones have had headers or exhaust so i'm afraid they're beaters and all the other ones are S coupe's which i def dont want.

i couldn't tell you that. check your local paper and cars.com. a few years ago it was easy to find a lude for sale, but now it's probably going to be much harder.

well i had an si model. i had koni struts and groud control shocks, and a catback exhaust, and no lie i pulled a 15.1 at the track....vtec eat your heart out. probably the best handling FWD car i have ever driven, minimal understeer, and tourqe steer. a very fun car to own.
go drive a corrado, and then tell us how you feel about the lude being the best handling fwd car youve driven.

Go drive a mazdaspeed protege, then we'll talk about handling FWD cars.

the vr6 didnt handle nearly as well as the g60. (due to the extra weight)

but the corrado is a very capable car with cult status in some places..

i can beleive that, he also always had overheating issues too. yeah he was really into the whole "i'm a big VW man". i hate people that buy a car an immediatly think they are part of some sort of racing heritage....

G60s are interesting. I was one of "those VW guys" for awhile.

The G60 supercharger is known for dying every 60k miles, but .. that leaves ample opportunity to slap a turbo set up on, for an engine that already made for boost. But that "potential" comes at a price.

If you can get over some of the shoddy design (which I couldn't), drive a FWD car (which I won't), and drive a low output motor in a car that usually feels like it's about to fall apart (which I've done enough of) while feeling cramped and claustrophobic - the a Corrado's good car for you.

[/rant]

But you're not missing much if you don't drive a VW. They're the Ford of Germany.
