Borrowed a co-workers red 90 miata with just over 200,000 kms on it. Damn I like it. It's a bit under powered with the 1.6L stock engine and stock exhaust but man what fun. You need to keep shifting hte gears and keep the rpms above 4000 to do anything, but that make it fun. The surgical handling, the response, the feel. Wow.... So much better than my 03 legacy GT or even my 89TII.

What the hell was I thinking when I got either of those cars

I've only previously driven the miata at the dearlerships and at an autox course, never for 1/2 the day around town and such...

Coincidentally, I drove my first Miata recently as well. It had only 16,000 miles! A maroon "M" edition.

It was fun FWIW, I can't believe you were moreso impressed driving one for a 1/2 day than at the track...lol
