[quote name='Fd3BOOST' date='Mar 25 2005, 01:31 PM']Ok, I wanna know then what size engine should I do in my buggy? I am guess ing I will want something like 1776 cc? I am not loooing for 12second passes but i want to have some Zoom.

Also am I better off buying a turn key or could i buy the block and build it from parts?

Depends on how much zoom you want.

I built an 1641 with 041 heads, dual kadrons, an extraction set up and an engle K8 with roller rockers and it would spin the axels off a swing axel tranny.

1776 if done right is a very reliable motor.

Depends, VW's are not hard to rebuild allthough I will reccomened having a GOOD machinist work the block for you. They're fairly easy to bore wrong.
