Hurricane Earl

Pretty impressive storm, currently a category 4. Looks like NC will get some rain and a bit breezy, I can't imagine it causing any notable damage. NC is on the west side (weaker side, in the northern hemisphere anyway) of the storm, and the storm will remain offshore, yet I'm anticipating Jim Cantore finding the strongest gusts (probably between 2 tall buildings) and trying his darndest to lean into the wind.

I wouldn't be surprised if CNN bought a neighborhood and leveled it just for the storm. You can buy a whole town for nothing right now. Last storm that came through here they were describing it as a war zone and running photos of garbage that blew out of peoples cans and trailer parks.

"you can just see how that empty paper bag went flying down the street, that gives you an idea of the strength of the winds here, folks should stay indoors"
now you got the full experience
good and bad its coming this way, as long as the power does not go out, I hate that **** but at least I have a generator now
