Hey,

I know when you remove the cat's (DP or whatnot) it changes the smell of the exhaust, but I was wondering how much worse it smells? Or if it's that present when you are driving, sitting still....?

That was going to be my next mod to my Mr2-Turbo,....err before I sold it. So I've never found out how much/bad it smells...

I had seen other posters on this forum say that a rotary would stink with no cat. I was pleasantly surprised that removing my cat didn't make a noticeable difference. It may be that these cars had other issues. If the engine is in good repair and properly tuned, it shouldn't be a problem.

But then again, you don't often notice that to which you have become accustomed. For example... I've heard farmers say that their pigs don't stink....

I dont find it a problem. I am still on 110 octane gas from the races friday adn it can get a little stinky. I like it, but sometimes the other passengers dont.
