I am wide open and it isn't bad while moving but will stink with windows open sitting at a light with a tail wind.
If any of your friends follow your car you will be sure to get complaints. I always do.

yeah, if i'm sitting at a light with my windows down or driving down the road with my windows cracked open, lots of exhaust gets sucked through the shifter area.
my roommate usually tells me i smell like gas after coming in from driving my car. oh well, i feel like a man, and my car is fast, so who cares...except chicks. but if its that big of a problem, then we can just take her car.

I've done the cool water mod to my exhaust, mixes my fumes with cool water cologne so it comes out smelling great. Kindof expensive cologne tho, i'd recommend old spice for nubes.
