how to buy a new car
Ok, you're right, they do have Costco and BJ's in Florida. The closest location (for both stores) to me is in Jacksonville, about 3 hours east of here. I don't shop in Jacksonville very often (never, actually).
I am telling you, contact the internet sales manager. They sell by volume(dramtically lower price), not by profit(sticker price).
how do you think our ISM sells 20 cars a month? it sure as hell is not the people that walk on the lot.

Sorry, I guess I'm spoiled. Living on the outskirts of a fairly large metro area, I am accustomed to having just about anything and everything within about a 40-minute drive.

I'm pretty sure they don't do internet sales. They do quotes and such on their web site, but no internet sales.
Every dealership has internet sales dept.
What's the name of the dealership you went to? I can find it out for you. And you can pull up invoices on the internet for the car you are looking at. If you just straight up want the car, just go straight to a sales manager, not to a salesman. You usually don't want to waste a salesman's time, we do have feelings you know. I would rather sip on my coffee and smoke a ciggie than rather deal with somebody that wants to haggle right off the bat before I even know the person's name.
But there are some decent parts, like laydowns!!!! Bwahaha. Or people that can see the value in a certain car.
Shoot me a PM baldy, I can help you out a little bit.
Too late, bought the car last night! I was comfortable through the whole thing, except the finance guy was REALLY pushing that damn wrap-around warranty ****. Like, to the point of becoming emotionally distressed, like my dad (along for support) and him were about to scrap. I just said, "listen, can you sell me the car without the wrap-around? okay then, do it." The guy was crazy. Sales guy was real good though.
