here's an odd question... if you run over a pothole and it breaks something on your car could you get compensation from the state, because if the road is bad enough that it ***** up your car obviously they aren't doing their jobs...

 

you can get compensation for pothole damege in NYC, but its nearly impossible to get through all the red tape to get your $$$$$.



i hit a manhole cover that had no lid on it when i was 19 in my dads maxima. the impact cracked the rim in a few peices and bent the pass side front suspension to the point that even a dontu wouldn't fit on the car without rubbing against the back of the fender.



it took like 6 months for my father to get reinbursed for that.
