they are ok... however when u hit a pot hole the 1/4 mile time takes a ****.



I got 3 sec 1/4 mile once in my Fc after it hit a pot hole i didn't see

The ones I know of are based of a 2 way or 3 way axis accelerometer. Basically measures the force of acceleration front to back, side to side and up or down. A pothole will mess that up bigtime since it's a sudden very sharp variation of force.



But on a good road done carefully it's certainly possible to get good results from one. Some people have run consistently within .2 seconds on measured 1/4 mile tracks.
