That's fucked so for it work worth a **** you have to burn your CPU up, which in turn overheats the board... that's BS

naw, It only increased the CPU temp by 3 degrees at max load in Sandra. But still, its iffy enough I wont buy anything with a VIA chipset. My story and many others said far too many bad things. At least its a killer performer now though

The Gigabyte boards (the version I have anyway) came with voltage settings all fucked up. You had to get a certain bios version and then tweak the vcore, ram voltage and AGP voltage just to get the damn thing to run ok. I fought with mine for 2 months before I actually had it running in a usable sense. I am going Soyo or MSI from now on. OH YEAH, Gigabyte's support sucks *** too. I sent them several e-mails and even a threat of a class action lawsuit and they STILL never responded. What a bunch of butt nuggets.

That sucks. Sounds similar to what I had to go through.

The two things I wish I had done differently in my system would be, getting the Soyo dragon board (forget exact model), and not getting registered DDR.

Yeah, the Dragon looks like a kick *** board and the forums do not report to many issues with them. Go to www.amdmb.com and hear all kinds of horror stories about the top boards out there. Wish I had gone there before I got my Gigabytesass.

Home computers, you dont want to know, one is 2 years outdated now, the other 4 years. Only good thing is my old out-dated Creative 5.1 platnium sound card with external drive so I can optically or coax digitally run it to my stereo or external cd burner which makes better audio cds then my PlexWriter. and WINDOWS 98, YEAH BABY! Only on ONE re-laod too might I add, lol
