call me stupid, but where does all that go when it melts? I mean, it seems like that would make a lot of water. do you get floods after every heavy snow?
So yeah, it'll flood.
The good news is, that we were preparing for a drought this summer, with only 82% snowpack. In the first 24 hours of the storm, that number rose 8%. Tonight is supposed to be worse than yesterday, maybe we'll hit 100%!!

The cool thing about snow in Colorado is that it is usually pretty dry. 5 feet of snow will melt over a week or 2 and only be equivalent to about 2-3 inches of rain. Over that time things always stay wet but flooding is rarely an issue. I do miss the snow from when I lived in CO, I always loved watching the Californians and Texans trying to drive in it.

we had 4 ft measured in our front yard...lost electricity for most of the day...but did build a killer igloo out front! and...fortunately, this particular snow storm was very wet, so it will definitely help the drought situation.

I haven't seen any snow since I lived in Arizona..even then it wasn't that much.
Also I want to stay in your garage too... I'm pretty sure that neighborhood is loaded with old ladies who have too much money to deal with. heheh j/k
