My Subaru is far far far from quiet. Besides, I wanted the deer to stay put, not to run.

Your deer are stupid!!

One time I was following my friend Pat has a white GSL-SE in my GS and all the sudden he pulls off to the side of the road...im wondering what the ****! I get out with that WTF look on my face, and he gets out and is like "Did you see the deer?" I'm like "NO!" he's like..."Theres deer back there!!!"

He gets in his car, and pulls a U-turn onto the other side of the road, and as we drive on the shoulder, we see these two deer on the side of the road where it slopes down into the bush. We get out watching the deer from a distance as they gradually make their way up the slope towards the road. One would inch up, the other would kinda back off than move up...all we could do is stare in awe as this van is coming, and the deer were getting ready to dart across...we're like freaking out...what should we do?! Didn't know wether we should just yell at them or sit there and watch! Who knows how our scream would provoke them! We sat there and watched...the van drove by and they kindof backed off again...than they started inching there way up, and they were like almost on the shoulder as this 18 wheeler is coming up...now its getting interesting.

The deer, inching closer and closer and this big-*** 18 wheeler is barrelling down the highway at 100km/h....but its loud noise spooked the deer, and they ran back into the bush.

But as others have said sometimes they run in the wrong direction even when fleeing.

However, they will not even dare to run towards the object (I.E. YOU) that is making the loud and "scarey" noise.

They always will run in the most opposite direction of the beeping noise (and as loud as your car is, its still a steady noise more than likely). The horn is just that much more obnoxious, and they run.

There are times you'd like them to stay put...like when I drove around a bend and saw one standing on the double yellow lines and one on the white line....i froze and kept the wheel steady and drove RIGHT between em....good lord...and I was coming home from a friends house at 4am lol.

Deer vs. Pathfinder, not much fun, my mom hit a Huge Buck doing 60, while I was following her in my MR2. she had a tow bar installed on the front so there wasn't taht much damage. I'm just lucky she was infront of me, would have really been fucked if I would have hit the deer instead of her. (I've seen them come through the windshield on higher cars than mine)
