Help me pick a multimeter!

I'm an electrical idiot right now so speak english. I'm looking for a multimeter thats reasonably priced, reliable, accurate, easy to use, and has enough features to make sure I don't need to buy another one later.

We bought 2 from www.harborfreight.com about 5 years ago for something loke $9.99 each. These things have been bounced around in the tool box, dropped, run over, had brake fluid spilled on them and even been temporarily mounted under the hood and they are still ticking. Original batteries as well. Good luck.

HA, HA my local friend beat me to it. I have had my Fluke for about 6 years, there is no finer multimeter. Unofrtunately I don't have any contacts there anymore so I can't get you a good deal, but I can tell that they are the most accurate highest quality multimeter I have ever used.

Yes they should have them at Lowes as far as I know. I know at one point Sears carried them as well, but I have noticed them going towards the Sears brand crap lately and away from the more usable tools

The Flukes are the best. I've used BK Precision meters before and they seemed OK and they are a little cheaper.
BTW - I used to work for a company that was owned by Danaher Corp. They also owned Fluke and made all the hand tools for Sears under the Craftsman brand as well as Mac tools. Yeah, I got good deals on tools for a while...
