i also had the problem that you guys are talking about. my rust hole was right on the bend on the pipe in the first set of 3 pictures.. where it loops around for no reason....well yeah, i ended up cutting the loop part out and i got a piece of rubber hose and 2 small clamps.works great so far and its been about a year now

Then i left the car running and was chcking the cardboard to see if it was leaking then i was seeing where it was leakign so i put a cup there to hold the fluid. and the liquid coming out is RED, and VERY CLEAN and is transmission fluid. SO this leads me to the conclusion its a Transmission line of some sort.

usually power steering fluid is red.

Every one that I've seen does. It sucks trying to pour that thick fluid in that tiny hole.

yeah, i had that same problem. I put a funnel there and did that way. So i guess its a powersteering line, since i keep getting told that. But you can see how i can come up to the conclusion its transmission fluid. Right before my car had a problem the transmission was slippiing. then i see red fluid on my floor. My first and inital guess was that it was transmission fluid. But as we knoe automatic transmission fluid and power steering fluid are both red.
Rob i got some hoses, different diameters to see which is the best fit..i know the managers at autozone so i didnt have to buy any hoses just cut 2 -4 inch peieces of all different sizes just in case. ANd i bought to techron to clean out the gas tank and i bought some LUCAS power steering **** lol
Ima go werk on it now
peace
