alright so my place closes at 6, lady got a 98 millenia v6 no s/c towed in at like quarter to 6 so its still there.

Basically it cranks but doesnt start. She was driving on the highway when the car just cut out. battery and alternator are fine, half tank of gass, and belt is still there. thats the only thing i saw when i took a quick look so....

Anywho, lets see who can come close to what the problem is, ill figure it out in the morning tomorrow and report back.

I'm guessing fuel pump, fuel filter, crank sensor, didnt even check codes or anything on it.

So your guesses?

lets see, millenia with the kl motor. we seen way way more crank/distributers go out on them then fuel pumps. bout the only other thing with the kl milenia that beat the distributers where the damn knock sensors. i dont think we ever had a fuel pump failure at ower shop in the 4 years i was there. since she was driving i dought the pump failed , if it is fuel related i would check the relay and fuze before anything cause we did have a few of them go bad.

yea see i was thinking the dizzy too, by ear it sounded ignition related, but i always tend to run into pain in the *** fuel pumps so i generally just figure on it being fuel related lol.

and yes rob shot in the dark lol, she wanted me to diagnose it without even looking at it, which makes it even better. I was like "um you have to drop it off and ill give you a call when i know whats going on with it, tomorrow."

v/c gasket ruins the wires, and causes a misfire, which kills the distributor and then the cats... and they've been driving like that forever, cause its a millenia. car's disgustingly filthy?

Y'all are way off base.

I say a gerbil fell into the gas tank during a fuel stop, then got sucked into the fuel intake and plugged it up good.
