Yeah, cuz a super big luxury boat with a Hemi, would smoke my lithe nimble modded RX-7 on the straightaways, when I'm in my powerband and my car is built for higher end :P Is it just me or did all the tracks get smaller? Maybe that's to be a better judge of speed? must just be me...

Sean

I believe I read something about them "slimming down" the tracks to make them more realistic to the real thing (in cases like Laguna Seca.)

When I first bought Gt3, I quickly beat every level on hard in arcade mode so I could open up every track and car in arcade mode so that me and my friends can play as anything/everything outside of Simulation Mode cars.

What'sup with this point system on GT4?! The manual that comes with GT4 is crap! I notice that if I choose a harder difficulty, I receive more "A-spec" points for that specific level but when/how do I get more levels/cars for my Arcade mode?!

Also, when watching a replay with a friend in 2-player mode, is there a way to merge the 2 screens like the last few?! It sucks seein the replay cut in half and still split screen...ugh...

Time to Google some GT4 stuff...

If you are looking for a wheel go on ebay and buy one of the logitechs for the ps2 wiht pedels and wheel. I did and it works great. Make sure that you set up the wheel on simulation mode or the response is horrible. My brother and I made a wooden stand and pedal lip for my setup. So just take that fancy metal one and replace it with wood and there you go. Cheaper is sometimes better.

I'm not sure I've figured out where to 'setup' my wheel.. i plugged it in and it's great. If you've got the $150 it takes for the thing, it's a totally necessary addition to the game! This R0X0rz

***BIG TIP***

If you refer to my post on page one of this thread, I am trying to get all Gold on all lisence tests. Turns out I am not alone with the frustrations of test B-5, the Mini Cooper challenge following a Pace car around Tsukuba circuit.

Browsed some forums looking for GT4 answers (since their manual that comes with the game is CRAP) and found out two things:

1. A-Spec points are awarded by difficulty level. A slow car with highest (10) competition speed will award you more A-spec points. As far as what they're worth/good for? I don't know. I'm frustraited as I am trying to make it so me and my friends can play every map possible on the 2-player mode. I want to find out how to unlock and get my arcade mode fully accomplished first. Like I did with GT3 so easily...

2. CLICK R3 (Or L3) for the BLUE/WHITE/RED help line in lisence tests!!! I've wasted 2 hours of my life on test B-5, I'm going to use this when I get home. Call it cheating or whatnot, but I just can't stand taking a half hour to complete a turn in a 94hp car anymore, only to result in being OFF by 45 thousandths of a second for the Gold award.

Do you even own a PS2? Do you live in a cave? Does that cave have the internet? How did you post such a question?

You know those big control sticks, those two rubbery nubs on your controller? Well, if you press into them (like trying to suppress a hard nipple) it becomes L3 (THE ONE ON THE LEFT STUPID) and R3. They click, and therefore become a button.

The way I've unlocked tracks is just by racing. It'll give me a notice after I'm done with a series or something about a track being added to the arcade list. Maybe that's what the A-Spec points are for... Edit: This is in simulation mode.
