Our '06 Mazda 5 has a little over 50k, both rear door locks are faulty, front passenger window just stopped working, and the driver seat is already ripping apart at the seam by the bolster. My FC had 160k and no tears in the seats. I honestly believe new cars these days are only made to last past the warranty period.

Ouch!

Our '05 MPV is nearing 60k and it's holding up remarkably well (knock on wood). I honestly can't think of anything about it that is functioning at a sub-par level.

Maybe if you didn't autocross the vehicle every weekend, then use it daily to shuttle customers to and from your dog, cat, and jungle animal grooming business by day and then hire it out nightly as a training area for knife-fighting midgets the car would be holding up a bit better?

Listen, I don't tell you how to run your van-based prostitution/grooming/fight club, and you don't tell me how to run mine. Capisce?

That's funny, my '94 bmw has a nearly perfect interior except for the leather seats, everything still fits and looks great, and it's been in TN all it's life. My Ford Aerostar from the same period can't claim anything close to that though...
