Wow. I always just assumed that Buell was a foreign company. Didn't think they were right here, a subsidiary of Harley, no less!

Harley's demographic is old white guys with lots of money to blow on useless crap. Their demographic has been shrinking rapidly, or choosing to not spend their money on stupid stuff. I'm guessing Harley is pulling money from Buell to help out their other bikes.

I can't see how Harley can survive. Harley riders have built up a reputation of elitist close-minded ******, and the bikes have a reputation of being unreliable and overpriced. Whether these statements are fact or not doesn't matter, it's the perception. Also, it's hard to pass up a bike that's just as big, has a reputation of being bullet proof reliable, just as pretty, and half the price.

All the "young" bikers I know driver sport bikes. And why not? You can go faster than anything on four wheels for $10k. My dad is 50, he drives a Honda 1800, and the guys he rides with have a Yamaha cruiser, Yamaha sport tourer, and a Kawasaki cruiser.

i think I've seen one Buell on the road, and that had to be 5 years ago!

That's pretty funny too, since the whole streetfighter segment of bikes should play to them, but they couldn't take advantage. I see Ducati Monsters fairly often.

We should buy some, I'm sure they'll become collectors items and increase in value. Like Barrett-Jackson style
