yes you read it right. Im giving away my Skyline. The JCI inspection is comming up in a few weeks and it needs some work to pass. tires and brake rotors. I got the car for $500 a year ago.

what I will do is if someone wants the car. you pay the plate deregistion fee and the shipping and customs from japan and I will give you the car for free. Other wise its headed for the crusher in a few weeks.

I will take some fresh pics tomorrow in the day time.. if the typhoon misses us.

here is a few pics.

you can also see in the back ground of a few of these pics.

I have replaced the hood so the rusted out one in those old pics has been changed out with a non rusted out one that matches the color.

there is some rust around the sun roof and the clear coat is pealing on the pass door. I have a replacement rear bumper that I have not put on that I will throw in. the old rear bumper got some parking lot mix on it.

its an automatic but if you want the stuff to do a 5 speed swap on it I can get all the parts should be around $300 - $400 for all the parts. the swap is really easy to do. I had planned on doing the swap and getting some side skirts and GTR front fenders and getting the car painted. if I was going to keep the car.

The engine run great and turbo boosts quick. I got this car as temp car while I been looking for the "right fc" but have not found it. the car has been extreamly reliable I put about 100km every day on it driving to work.

Once imported, isn't there a boatload of money needed to make everything legal for the US?

I'd buy that as a DD :P

not sure what it would take to make it street legal, but it would be great car to turn into a track / drag / drift event car.

I know in Texas you file for a bonded title and you put a bond for the import tax and you get plates. and after 3 years you can change your bond title for a full title.

with no mods done to the car.

As long as it is 15 years or older the canandians can import it and have it registered. Then you just buy it off them. Easier to register a car from canada then Japan.

What's the production date?

Or just post the serial number and I can look it up.

don't you think the deregistion fee/shipping/customs from japan would cost more than the vehicle is actually worth??

With GTS-ts, it usually does. But, what it's worth there, isn't really relevant to what it's worth here ...

hence where all the J-spec motors come from, contrary to popular belief its not just junkyard japense cars, sometimes its just cheaper to scrap the car then get it to pass this tough inspection
