Valued it at $17.1k after deductible and buy back will get approx $14k and my car back. they said the value can go up if i find a similar car for more than $17.1k they will pay me even more for my car!

i am still figuring out if the car is worth it to repair. it will cost $10k-$12k to repair for a few thousand more i can buy a whole new running FD with a rebuilt engine! and still have my FD to swap over what i want and sell what i don't..... we'll see. waiting to hear from other insurance company too

defprun 10-27-2003 01:40 PM

Try to get a RHD Spirit R from japan!

mazdadrifter 10-27-2003 01:40 PM

damn, good for you, insurance companies are supposed to work that way, but it doesn't always end up that way. Usually they try to call it a no fault so you get dicked w/o money, and your car. I guess you had full coverage so they didn't try to screw with you.

vosko 10-27-2003 01:41 PM

yup i had full coverage........the car i found is a 94 R2 black on black but we'll see. judge ito really wants me to fix my car. he loves the car as much as i do

UniqueTII 10-27-2003 01:44 PM

Don't let emotional attachment get the best of you. Do whatever would result in the best car and the most money! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

yeah i'm trying to. having tons of debt and a nice car is fun but i think i can work it so i have a nice FD and no debt...........almost. we shall see. it would kind of be a waste of the 2 years i spent building and repairing my FD but i don't want to be in debt forever because of this car......

banzaitoyota 10-27-2003 02:08 PM

CONGRATS~~~~

vancouverrx7 10-27-2003 02:53 PM

is that just for the car or does it include your damaged fmic? wow, 17k is good... congratz...

Rob x-7 10-27-2003 02:57 PM

take the money and RUN, do not fix your car, buy another one

there is alot of critical **** in that area your car got hit, hence the

reason why its totalled. Not bolt on **** either.

vosko 10-27-2003 02:58 PM

i'm gonna try and get it valued even higher since i spent so much on it.......hey why not https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

1Revvin7 10-27-2003 03:01 PM

So if you take the 17.1k, do you get to take out all the toys in the totalled fd?

$14K after deductible and buyback. Reading is fundamental. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Yea i just reread that, i would definatley do the 14k and get your car back... Then just take out all the toys, and part the rest of the body/interior out..

vosko 10-27-2003 03:18 PM

we'll see it might go up to $17k after buyback not sure yet

jet7 10-27-2003 04:40 PM

If you buy it back I willing to buy some parts off you

vosko 10-27-2003 07:24 PM

trust me i know half the rx7 owners want to buy some parts

Joe Flo 10-27-2003 07:32 PM

If I were you I would have the car appraised by an outside person. Their are some car appraisers that specialize in rare cars. I contacted one who was willing to do it for $50 bucks.

I was able to get 17.5 from Allstate on my near stock FD. I would imagine you could get alot more if you tried and hassled them!

vosko 10-27-2003 07:49 PM

well they listed replacement value by cars for sale. obviously none of them were 500hp T78 FD's.... they were all stock

what am i gonna do with a canadian car with no title

banzaitoyota 10-28-2003 09:21 AM

plasma cutter and a mig works wonders

vosko 10-28-2003 09:31 AM

i'm not gonna spend $12k to fix my FD. i will just buy a new one then get out of debt for the first time in 3 years lol

banzaitoyota 10-28-2003 09:54 AM

"FIX"

vosko 10-28-2003 10:01 AM

so what exactly are you saying i should do ???

i found a nice 94 R2 black on black. its pretty goddamn tempting to just buy it and pimp a nice clean car around. it NEEDS a powerFC though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

banzaitoyota 10-28-2003 10:09 AM

buy the canadian roller, "fix" it so its YOUR car. NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK SAY NO MORE!

Part the remains of your old original serial numberless car out

vosko 10-28-2003 10:10 AM

i thought you were saying that but i don't trust canada

teknics 10-28-2003 11:57 AM

getting a new title issued costs a couple hundred dollars...i dont see the problem in a car with no title.

my dad's had two new titles issued on both his dusters.

kevin.

DaddyMac 10-28-2003 12:26 PM

are you nuts ?

get the 94 R2 !!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

lane_change 10-28-2003 12:51 PM

I just sold my Black/Black R1 for $18k....new motor, new T78, Power FC, all that ****....$14k and your car is a killer deal I think. $17k and your car is even better.....I would just do that, part your car out for more than the $3k you will pay for it, keep what you want, sell what you don't want, but another FD and turn your mangled up car into a drag car project.

But that is just me.
