Got the DSL in today!

Not here, 6mps DSL with phone line is $5.00 per month cheaper then cable, cable was 1.1 mps when it worked, constant outages for hours at a time for a slower more expensive. In washington it was cheaper for cable and the service was decent, DSL has always been more reliable, it just cost a bunch more. Not to mention the new services that will be available through the phone line in the near future.
My cable goes out a min of once a week, i have to reset the modem weekly, service is down during hurricanes and they give no refund. DSL people can use their **** during storms.
My dad ordered the service that is the same speed as cable and it's $15 cheaper WITH the phone line and taxes.

again, my cable is awesome- what did you think of it considering you were running wireless G band when you were at my house? My cable has never been out,in my area DSL was more available at one time, now everyone who had DSL has switched over to cable. Only time my cable kind of went out was when a houseguest crashed the box and we lost sound until it got reset
but again- cablevision is rated #1 so I guess im biased

We do have digital cable, its a whopping $29.95 a month when you get thier phone or internet service- which is also 29.95 a month. They give free HDTV boxes as well.

It has a lot to do with area, I never had a complaint about cable in seattle, but we also had competing cable company's so it was like $20 a month. At $70 a month here it's a ******* rip

this thanksgiving everyone who came to my house was asking what service I have, I told them plain ole' cablevision, they could not believe how clean the picture was
So now they all want to get HDTVs and digital cable, lol
problem is no one wants to give up their old illegal boxes, those do get shitty reception.

whoever installed it was a dumbass then. satellite kicks ***.
30 bucks a month for digi cable? is that a promo? because it's like 80-90 a month for it here with comcast..
then again, maybe its comcast.

yeah i love my satalite, and my cable connection... we have gone from cable, to dsl, cable, dsl, and are not back on cable because its cheaper and faster here, and the satalite is great we have been with directv since they started up, great service and picture. then again we dont get hurricanes here in oregon.

Cable internet's been fine for me for years now, almost never down, maybe down for an hour, once a year.
Satellite TV's been fine, Cable's fine too...both seldom have problems...
Depends on the area I guess...
