well, my buddy is getting married so we threw a bachelor party and it began with us going to the race track since we are all "car guys". it was a blast, and only me and another guy had limited draging racing experience (i went to an 1/8 mile drag in navasota), so we were evenly matched skill wise.

sean has a convertable 5.0, jereme has an 89 saleen 5.0, BJ (bachelor) had a 5.0 with tones of mods, and his future brother in law has an '03 Mach 1.

i owned them all with a 14.03 at 101.5 mph.

BJ got a 14.08 at 101 and the dude with the mach 1 got a 14.2 at 98. jereme got a 14.9 and i forget what sean got, i'm thinking around a 15.3 or so. i got killed by an old 60-something cobra with a 302 engine; he ran a 13.3 or so. some dude stuck a chevy 350 in a FC and ran a 13.7 then a 13.2. heresey i say!!!

i got MURDERED by a dodge ram turbo deisel that ran a 11.9. this guy's turbo's were screaming like crazy when he warmed up his tires with the most badass burnout ever. my buddy got it on video, and my car is white, so it was just like that other video that is floating around where the supercrew beats an rx-7.

for the rest of the evening, i had bragging rights. anytime they started trash talking rotaries, all i had to say was "do i need to bring up the time slips?"

i might have broken into the 13's if it was colder, but it was like 65 deg and humid, so my boost wasn't coming on all that strong (creep up to 9 psi), which is probably good for my engine anyway.

all in all, it was a good night, i got like 10 runs in had loads of fun.

Sweet! You owned them all with a 14 flat. Now take them to an autocross and have some more fun with those Mustangs.

sounds like a lot of fun mike, I might be hitting HRP this weekend. Now it's time to get that turbo off so we can port the wastegate and stick on the MBC.
