Thumbs up

I have a blk 86 TII with a 87 TII jap-spec motor, which has been monster ported, 3mm apex seals that disintegrate when they blow, Racing Beat racing oil pump, The block has been pinned so it dosn't blow apart. The tranny is a 87 TII That has been rebuilt and reinforced, with a ACT extream clutch. I have the stock j spec metal intercooler, with a turbo smart blow off valve, For the fuel i have had 4 680cc injectors. For electronics I have a Microtech MTX-4 Computer with harness and the hand piece. I also have a new Racing Beat 3in down pipe and presilencer not on the car. The car has a strut bar and a jap fully adjustable alum. wing. I'm selling this car because i don't know how to program the computer and it runs extremly rich in fuel and floods once in a while and breaks up from 2,000 rpm to 5,500 rpm then clears up. I am selling this car for $2,500

would it be a major PITA? Really want a TII.

I guess it comes a turbo 2 when you put a 1987 turbo 2 tranny and engine in a 86 gxl.

Thats what I was thinking. the years seem messed up. I'm going to e-mail him for pics, and since he's only 25 miles away see about a meet to look at it.

apex seals that completely dissolve when they fail? sounds doubtful, i dont know of any hight temp alloy that just combusts when it fails. he's just saying that to give you peace of mind so when you break the car you'll think all the internal components are safe since there isn't peices apex seals floating around. he probably drove lean since he didn't tune it, then overcorrect for rich condition to be safe.

i call BS. dont buy it. a guy that really had all those mods on it and did them correctly would know that FC TII's were from 87 on, not 86.

not enought info, sounds shady, dont buy.

if its in clean shape and has the parts on it he says it does then get it. 2500 isnt bad. besides that, if its only 25 miles away, it wont be too hard to go and look at it.

I read that too...if the car wasn't so far away I'd consider checking it out.

There's a guy in Syracuse who claims to have an '86 TII that he bought new.
