Well I just picked up a factory H pipe and a set of factory heads. I am waiting on a guy to get back to me on the 1.72 roller rockers and may also get a p&p job on the heads for 200 bucks from a machine shop guy in one of the local mustang clubs. Also may be buying a complete 1991 5.0 motor with 78,xxx miles for 400 bux. Heard it run! Sounds nice and strong! No smoke! Good compression readings. No bits of metal in the oil. No oil in the intake track or anything! So I may pick that up to. That way I can build that motor while I repair mine. So I will have a ready motor to drop in.

It is gonna feel so good to get my car back together. All I am waiting on is the roller rockers and a set of headers. Gonna be back so soon! am hoping with the roller rockers P&P and exhaust I will pick up around 35hp! So that should be a nice gain! Plus the P&P and roller rockers will help me gain some more topend out of my motor meaning I will be able to pull higher and stronger above 4500rpm where she falls off some but does keep pulling. This should help a fair amount!

looks like I am getting the roller rockers probably friday.

1.72 Ford Motorsport ones. That should help me out some. Also getting new valve springs most likely to help keep everything under control.

I am still waiting on the guy with the exhaust headers to get back to me.

13 second passes here I come! Time to get out of the 14 second bracket!

I am also going to try and get these E7TE heads P&P'ed to help out...

Lets see how much I pickup!

2.3 Coupe will be back out on the road it looks like she will be riding on 5.0 litre springs and sway bars along with the new tranny.

The 5.0 Convertible will be running off of Stock but most likely ported and polished heads with high rev valve springs and 1.72 Crane Cams Roller Rockers. She will be exhaling through most likely Mac headers. Probably going to be shorty heads unless I butched my H pipe....

But either way I am looking into breaking into the 13 second range. Plus I still need to put the shifter in and finish the cooling system. But I plan on giving some LS1's a damn good run for their money!

I pick up the Roller Rockers Friday afternoon.

Will have to get some pics as I work on the car....

Also playin around with the thought of turning my 5.0 convertible GT into a Lx Coupe... found one and would love to swap everything over to it. Would be a very very nice diet! To the tune of 600lbs! If not more!

Why dont you get that convertible running, and get rid of it, use that other motor and put it in the 2.3 body and go faster then that sled of a convertible they made, no offense, you know I like Mustangs, **** I remember when they came out with the 1987 Mustang, I was in high school, but the GT convertible is by far the ugliest and heaviest.

yeah I know I really want to swap all of it into another stang... problem is it is just not that straight forward of a swap otherwise I would. But yeah this damn car is heavy and I hate those cheesegrater taillights!

I wish I had the money go figure after I drop money into the GT I find a GXL.... one 2 blocks from my g/f's house at that... *sigh* Will have to go talk to the guy about the car. Could be in better shape. But could be in worse shape too. Its really not too bad. Just wish I had the money it really figures!
