you guys have talked about how the rotary engine takes a little more love and care than a piston engine. what kind of extra care is required? remember i know nothing and am just learning!

um you need to do the maintenence by the book

Yah, that includes regular tune ups, oil changes, lube jobs (tee hee hee). Almost everything that you can neglect in a piston engine you should do religiously in a rotary.
