Not all states have commonlaw and many don't recognize it with same sex couples.

Yeah. I guess I'm replying to the wrong topic, because my sister isn't really married, because she can't be in NY...but she had a wedding ceremony.

granted this site is very right wing radical

but it does present some very valid points

http://www.godhatesfags.com/fagfacts

i grew up in vermont and moved to jersey recently after vermont passed the civil right bill.

personally i think its wrong, but to each his own and yada yada yada.

although what they are trying to do in the public school system up there is definitely wrong no argument about it.

they are pushing homosexuality on kids whether they like it or not.

you should see some of the pamphlets they are passing out in schools. its pretty much gay **** that shows how to give a good bj.

its pretty bad when you hand that to a 13 year old kid.

Hey Tyson, did it ever occur to you that marriage is a celebration of love and devotion, rather than a legally binding contract or some religious bullshit?
If you need the state and religion to approve your relationship you have big problems. Nobody every said it was illegal to stand up and have a wedding ceremony, they just didn't want to issue the certificate.

As long as you have no problem with it and the people you care about have no problem with it, why do you care what anyone else thinks? If you need the marriage certificate to show you love someone, how is this relationship going to last? If you ABSOLUTELY NEED a wedding to show love and devotion, don't get married, because you'll be on your 3rd marriage before you know it.
