Religion breeds hate in one form or another, this is just a big case of it being brought to light. Condoning any descrimination just blatently broadcasts how outdated religion is.

I am sure at some point they will once again re-interpret the good book to suit their needs, the little fallout religions will anyhow.
just don't think that all Catholics agree 100% with the pope

Amazing the church would rather agree with Darwin then allow "a man and another man to elope"

Religion has caused more death and suffering than any plague or war. However, it has helped millions of people as well.

In my experience, religion is bad, but faith is good.

I don't care, I do hope that if they allow it, they change the health insurance law in washington state back to ONLY extending it to married couples.

How do you guys feel about marrying relatives? Should it be legal? I say keep it in the family.

j/k
interesting article-not the whole article, but I have it at home

they say it's not all that bad, and probably better for the species. The bad genes die out, rather than spread to good gene pools. If the whole family doesn't die out, the good genes grow stronger.

not that I endorse it, just an interesting concept.
WOW, I didn't read the article, but the "bad gene's dieing out" statement... sounds like a Darwin theory, wonder if they double checked their spelling on that statement.
I'm paraphrasing from memory, so I could be a little off.

It's outdated. Religion and believing in God are not the same thing.

It's hard for me to jump the religion bandwagon when i see multi-million dollar corporations skipping taxes because they are cult with a few more members. Some of the largest corporations in this country are owned by churches. They don't pay ANY taxes, they don't pay for the roads, for the unemployment, for welfare, they don't pay for ****.

You think if religions had to pay taxes on their corporations like Pepsi, taco bell, KFC Miute Maid, etc... we'd be taking care of our own a bit better? you think we might be able to spring for things like healthcare for our people with all that money from the increased tax base?

Could someone please explain to me agian why churches DON'T pay taxes, I mean I knew they didn't, but I don't think I've ever been given an adequate explanation.

I know that the country was founded by Puritans, and they set the whole show up, but is there any justification besides "Why should the messengers of God have to pay taxes"

They are "Non Profit" dividends from the corporation are paid to the church, the church then uses the money to buy more things, pay their patriarchs, etc... they don't sell anything for profit "in thoery".

If you are I recieve dividends from a corporation that we have stock in, we have to pay taxes on it because we use it for evil things, like food.
