ok so as some of you who know me may have heard i received 5 inspection tickets.........in a 7 day span.

yes 5 out of 7 days i took my car out i receievd an identical ticket.

now you may say "unlikely but possible coincidence"

ok now throw in the fact they all occured in a 2-3 mile radius from my house right after i left my driveway basically.

well i fixed that, got inspected etc.

today i leave my house, approach the edge of that 2-3 mile radius and what do i hear? *woot woot, woooooooooo* in my head im like "what the **** did i do now", here comes the good part where i literally LAUGHED AT THE COP.

Cop wanders up to my car acting badass, i nrecognize him quickly, he's given me 2 inspection tickets on this exact stretch of road, but that was before i passed inspection.

He starts the conversation off on a bad foot by NOT looking at my windshield "Well well, out on the road again, you know im going to have to write another inspection ticket" I tried to butt in to save him but he continued "Maybe if you took the time to fix your car instead of modify it you'd avoid these little problems and MAYBE youd pass inspection" (said it in the snottiest, piece of **** voice ever). at this point i laughed, not a chuckle or a little giggle, a direct-straight-in-your-face hope-i-got-spit-on-you omg-i-think-im-getting-a-hemmorhoid ball busting laugh. Proceeded to then point at my sticker and then threw out the question "So, what exactly was i getting a ticket for?"

i then received a ticket for my license plate being in my windshield, but it was worth it, and yes if i wasnt a dick i wouldnt have gotten any ticket at all, but these fuckers cost me $126 x 5 (and now another $44) so to me they deserved it.

im looking into police harassment charges or something, but that requires searching or paying my lawyer more money, neither of which i feel the need to do.

BrandonDrecksage 01-31-2004 12:52 AM

lol...kevin....you should have lit his car on fire to show that your car pass with honda accord standards https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Fluid Dynamics 01-31-2004 12:54 AM

That really sucks.

KingFD 01-31-2004 01:55 AM

Ohh thats some funny ****, but for real I would have been pissed after the second time. That musta felt good to laugh in his face.

sidewinderx7 01-31-2004 02:02 AM

i laughed at a cop once... he gave me a wreckless ... :(

Boost Addict 01-31-2004 02:26 AM

YEAH... Stick it to THE MAN https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

JT-Imports 01-31-2004 04:55 AM

5 tickets and there would be some CIVILIAN brutiality hehe

Thats pretty cool you got him back a little.

TheCamel 01-31-2004 07:22 AM

Honestly I would have let the cop write the ticket for the inspection first, let him waste his time getting it all written out, i would have signed for the ticket and taken it to court, hoping the cop showed up. I would have driven to the nearest Notary public and had them verify that the sticker was installed and had the correct numbers matching etc. I would then have taken all the inspection paperwork, and the ticket into the courtroom and had it thrown out. By laughing in the cops face only you got to see the embarassment he had. If you had done it in court his peers and the "people" would have all seen it. On top of that I would have asked the court to look into harassment charges for all the tickets, how is the cop supposed to know if you were driving it to the inspection station or not?

MazdaMike 01-31-2004 08:54 AM

seans idea if funny but way too mature. some times laughter is the best medicine... definatly when its in the face of a pig

SpecialT 01-31-2004 10:17 AM

Seriously, I'd go talk with a lawer.

Just to see, you never know. . you might not have to pay any of the tickets.

Go in for a free consultation, worst case you're gonna be in the same boat your in now.

75 Repu 01-31-2004 10:18 AM

zmarko 01-31-2004 10:51 AM

Hate to say this....but you deserved all 5 tickets. Your car wasn't inspected. After the first ticket, why didn't you go right to the inspection station? Save you the hassle and, more importantly, money. Imagine the mods you could have done with the money it might cost you for these tickets. For the record, most courts I know of will throw out the tickets if you show proof of getting the vehicle inspected. Might want to try that.

FrestyleFC3S 01-31-2004 10:52 AM

you dont need a lawyer...yet

just go to court for the license plate ticket / inspection tickets

express how the cop came out of nowhere and had no cause to pull you over....because as soon as he came up to you he made an "assumption". cops arent allowed to "assume" something is wrong, they have to know it is then they have cause

"oh i assumed that guy had a gun, so i shot him before he could harm anyone first"

basically see what happens in court...you never know.... and then if you want to really sue them or something, get a lawyer

im sorry repu but that comment was out of line and id like you to refrain from using such immaturity in my posts and all future posts, it isn't appropriate in this or any other topic except one describing the situation in which you described.

I go to court monday for the 5th ticket, i'm going to wear my shirt i got from SCC it says "Sorry officer" with a hot chick sticking her ass out in between those two words.

judge cant levy a heavier fine then stated on the ticket so it doesnt matter what he thinks of my attire.

True, im at fault for the 5 tickets for not getting it inspected, but have you seen my car? it doesnt exactly meet emissions standards. plus with the 80inch blzzards weve been having i rarely drive it, let alone drive 45 minutes out of my way to an inspection station.

because unfortunately pads of citations aren't standard civilian issue.. if it were the case I'd write cops tickets all day for the stupid **** they do driving around in Dallas... But yah.. Cops are pricks in general.. good to see you got some sort of revenge against the law

teknics 01-31-2004 02:27 PM

In planning of receiving another license plate ticket...........ive tiewrapped it to my bumper.

BAM i wait for him to pull me over.

kevin.

for those offended by the term BAM, it is an expression to receive attention and in no way related to the sound of a gun upon releasing the bullet, slug, or any other projectile out of the chamber or barrel.

disclaimed kevin.

That indeed is a common misconception with such word usage.

kevin.

TheAntiChrice 01-31-2004 02:36 PM

indeed... Ever had a cop give you a ticket for something that wasn't there like a stop sign or at least try to?

I was told i ran two stop signs in a row, while driving on a road ive driven on everyday for the past 2 years, a road i take specifically due to its lack of stop signs and/or lights.

I proceeded to make a deal with the cop, i will write my name on the tickets in front of his face and plead guilty by doing so if he can take me to the road i was on and show me the signs.

he agreed and put me in his car, drove me to the street and hung his head in shame upon discovery that there were, indeed, no stop signs.

he turned out to be cool tho, but i was still angered.

I thought cops were bad in my area. Geez.

this was during my "less then legal" phase of my life, my town is very much aware of who I am and who i was, they felt the need to constantly keep watch on me and at every opportunity pull me over.

there's a reason i hold the record for most seatbelt tickets given to a driver who ALWAYS wears their seatbelt.

kevin.

rmaiersg 01-31-2004 04:17 PM

In regards to zip tying your plate to the front bumper... My dad's friend had a first ggen and he ziptied the liscence plate to the front and when ever he went like 40-50 mph it would blow up and out of view. So one day he got pulled over for not having a front liscence plate and he was like "i swear i have a front liscence plate." So he gets out and they check it out and sure enough there it is. She had a crazy look on her face after that.

so you want to file harassment charges because you were

given tickets for no inspection, no seat belts, and no front plate?

Well when it is the same cop multiple times, all occuring during the same situation (same road, same timeframe, same "im just leaving my house" situation) it sorta fits harassment.

but like i said, im too lazy to even bother. like they say, you cant fight city hall.

Eric Happy Meal 01-31-2004 04:44 PM

they did in rocks modern life https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

but you can still get written up for zip tieing the lisence to the front because its not firmly attached...but yoru not in cali so i dont know about the laws there.

the cop didnt assume anything hel say he pulled kevin over for no front plate. even if he really didnt, its a perfectly legitimate claim on the officers behalf and i dont realy see how u could sue this guy....

ur gonna have to do his wife kevin, good luck not getting caught in the act

teknics 01-31-2004 04:55 PM
