Anyhow, i am sure UPS will lose it.

your new laptop will breakdown in 2 years, 50 weeks, and 4 days.

thats weird.

i've never had more than a 1 year warranty on anything i've owned. it seems like most problems occur within the first few weeks/months.. and for a cpu, well they are normally outta date within a year/two anyways..

at that point, time to buy a new one.

once you get passed the "I have to have the newest thing" mindset you realize that a 3-5 year old laptop does the same **** a new one does for the average person browsing the internet and doing photos and regular day to day crap. At that point it just seems like a waste of money, 3 year warranty is good, and it does not cost that much more then a 1 year- especially when it covers accidental damage like the HP warranty does.

the hp 3 year was only 129, the cheapest 3 year on any laptop out there, which i guess says something about their products, i browsed a lot of forums and everyone said the hp rocks, i was impressed when my dad's laptop crapped, they had the sucker turned around in nothing flat.

Back in the day when games and even software were outrunning the technology i was upgrading pc's on a fairly regular basis because i needed to so i could run the newer apps.

Like i said before i really like this one i have now, it does everything i want to do with it. it will be nice to have the dvd burner, the 17 inch screen and the shortkey number pad, i figured since i was forced to replace my current one i might as well upgrade

Are there any corporate entities that have not done something to **** you off? I'm currently pissed off at Home Depot, since they've overcharged me for an online purchase and can't seem to get the credit issued.

This sort of reminds me of how I got a "THANK YOU FOR DOING BUSINESS WITH US!" card from the Auto Shipper that NEVER followed through in picking up my FD for my florida buyer.
