[quote name='banzaitoyota' date='Mar 22 2005, 12:26 PM']My numb arm was caused by a degenerating Disc, ended up having to have C5 and C6 fused. Arm feels much better now, and I am not in constant pain

[quote name='phinsup' date='Mar 22 2005, 03:49 PM']It honestly feels a bit better today, but there is a spot on my elbow where I can lightly touch and my whole arm goes numb.

I had something similar thing when I got hit by a hockey ball just above my wrist. I went to the doctor when the lump was still there after a few months, he just mentioned about a burst something or other and that it would go away eventually. It's been well over a year and I still have a small lump and get pins & needles in my arm/hand when I rub it, but it has gone down quite a bit.

Holy **** that sucks. I would be pissed if it lasted that long.

It was pretty bad, but now it's barely noticable - probably cause it's been like this for so long.

It really wouldn't seem like all that long a time if you stayed drunk all the time. The alcohol would also doubtless act to cover up any unpleasant sensations.

And, yes. I'm a doctor.
