I had a bulged disc in my neck that pinched a nerve and made my right hand go numb and my whole right arm weak as hell. Funny how nerves are. Several doctors said surgery was required. Then one doctor gave me a steroid dose pack to try to relieve the swelling. A week later I started to get better. In total I was messed up for about 7 weeks. Not fun, but glad I avoided surgery.

Give it some time. If it doesn't get better you really should see a doctor. You don't want it turning into a permemant thing.

Yea that would definetely suck, did you have to do anything or it just went away?

It honestly feels a bit better today, but there is a spot on my elbow where I can lightly touch and my whole arm goes numb.

Yea, that's what I'd be worried about. Then your arm turns black&blue and gangrelous but at least you can use it to fend off evildoers.

No Insurance?! That sucks. I lost my coverage this January, hoping to set something up with the Big Boss soon though...

If its from resting yer arm on something, and not exactly from falling 5 stories onto your arm...I'd say its bound to leave sooner than later...

Seriously, I would rest it for a few days to a week, and see if it doesn't get better. It's way to early to set a doc loose in there swinging a knife.

My numb arm was caused by a degenerating Disc, ended up having to have C5 and C6 fused. Arm feels much better now, and I am not in constant pain
